W.H.A.C. is a registered charity which provides a service relating to the well being of women and adolescent girls, regardless of age, colour, race, religion, disability or sexual orientation, in the Wansbeck and surrounding areas. This includes physical, mental and social aspects of health in a relaxed, non-medical, non-judgemental, confidential setting.

The Centre is run by two full-time and two part-time paid workers, and several committed Volunteers, who are from all walks of life and are trained at the Centre.
